Common questions

How do I add friends?

Tap Add Friend on the Radar screen, or open Friends → Find from Contacts. NearMeep uses your iPhone contacts to find people already on the app — no separate account needed.

Why isn't my location showing on the radar?

1. iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → on
2. Find NearMeep → While Using the App
3. In NearMeep, open Me → confirm Appear on friends' radar is on

How do I drop a beacon or add a place?

Tap Find Places on the radar to search nearby spots, or use the Beacons tab to drop your own beacon with a label and emoji.

How do voice drops work?

Tap the microphone button on the radar to record a short clip. Friends nearby can tap the voice drop blip on their radar to play it.

How do I remove a friend?

Open Friends, swipe left on a friend, and tap Remove.

How do I delete my data?

• In the app: Me → Settings → Account → Delete My Data erases your profile, location, beacons, voice clips, and messages from iCloud. (Deleting the app by itself does not remove these.)
• By email: Contact msksoftware@yahoo.ca and we'll remove the CloudKit records tied to your account.
